Veterans (Adult) Event
Friday evening, in a surprising upset, Tausha Urban captured the Gold
despite a pre-existing shoulder injury to her weapon arm. Struggling as
an unnatural southpaw, and in obvious pain, she defeated Doris Eng 15-14.
Bronze honors went to Monica Etter and Nancy Uselton.

Youth 10/Under Boys
Carson Nampon, once again, snatched the gold. However, Brendon
Grover fenced neck and neck with his fellow classmate. They even
earned the same number of victories and indicator points when finished
with pools! Third place finishes were given to Ian Uselton and Isaac
Spotts.

Youth 10/Under Girls
In another unexpected turn of events, Adrian Uselton grasped first
place, in the Y10 Girls event, with an endless string of quick, successful
parry-ripostes! As a lefty, she clearly frustrated her opponents. Erin Moutz
followed with a silver finish, and the bronze medals were awarded to
Thalia Urban and Sara Carrasquillo.

Competitors
Nicholas Farrell pitted his extended reach and precision counter-attacks
against Spenser Nampon's superior lunges and second intention attacks, but in
the end, Nampon snatches the gold, 15-13. Matthew Breen and Justin Eng
finish with bronze medals.

Non-competitors
Doug Rintoul narrowly defeats Lee Doan, 15-12, in a battle of the
brawn! After seeding first from pools, Carson Nampon misses a silver
finish against Doan, 15-12. Also finishing with a bronze, is Elese
Mathis.
